Reflecting on the year we survived.
Hey, hey, y’all.
I wanted to take a moment before I sign off for the holidays to have a real conversation with you. I’ll be taking a break over the next couple of weeks to spend some much-needed time with my loved ones and to recalibrate, but I couldn’t leave without addressing the year we just survived.
Let’s be honest: 2025 almost took your girl out the game.
This year has been undeniably heavy. Between the mass layoffs, budget cuts across industries, and the rising cost of simply existing, the collective weight on all of us has been immense. It has been a year of challenges, unexpected pivots, and for many of us, survival mode.
But in the middle of that chaos—specifically on the first Tuesday of September—we birthed something beautiful. We launched The Culture Docent.
From Idea to Everywhere
What started as a concept to navigate and curate the experiences we want to have has grown into a platform that is now available everywhere. Thanks to our partnership with Podbean, you can now find us on Spotify, Amazon, Apple, iHeartRadio, and wherever else you get your audio.

- What is the step for Q1? What is one step I can take in the first three months of 2026 to create more opportunities? Don’t worry about the whole year yet. Just focus on Q1.
